EZ APK App Installer supports a wide range of Android installation package formats commonly used across different app stores and distribution platforms. 1. APK (Android Package Kit)

The standard .apk format is the primary file type for Android apps. It contains all necessary components — code, resources, and metadata — in a single package. This is the most common format used for app installation across Android devices.

2. XAPK (Extended APK)

The .xapk format is a variant developed by third-party app stores such as APKPure. It combines an APK file with additional data such as OBB (game assets or expansion files) in a single compressed package. This allows larger or complex apps, including games, to be distributed as one file.

3. APKM (App Bundle Package)

The .apkm format originates from APKMirror and is designed to deliver apps based on Android App Bundles (AAB). It contains multiple split APKs (for different screen densities, languages, or architectures) packaged together for easier installation. It typically requires a compatible installer to merge these components.

4. APKS (Split APK Set)

The .apks format is generated using Google’s bundletool, which developers use to distribute all variant APKs in one archive. It contains base APK and configuration splits for specific device types, and it mirrors how Google Play installs apps dynamically for each device.
